Yesterday the mailman brought us pure joy on a tiny little DVD. It was a video of Precious Boy taken by Karla & Mike while they were on Trip 1 in Kyrgyzstan. They were gracious enough to take the time to love on our baby boy, talk to him, hold him, take SO MANY pictures of him and to even video tape him. For those of you who haven't been through this process, I can tell you that the time at the orphanage with your child is so precious and flies by so quickly. It can easily become a blur and you just want to cherish every moment. That Karla and Mike would dedicate some of their cherished minutes at the orphanage to our son is such a blessing and we are so grateful.
The video shows several clips of our wee boy being held by Mike or Karla... including the moments before his diaper gave way on Mike's khaki pants. We can tell in the video that Precious Boy is holding his head up better, making tons of engaging eye contact and most importantly smiling and cooing at Mike and Karla. He has changed so much in such a short period of time. I pray we won't miss too much time with him! We are so ready to have him be ours and for him to be home forever.
Until then, we are grinning ear to ear and so thankful for other families who can give us a glimpse of our baby. All this talk about the video has made me realize I should probably go watch it again :)

Everyone would understand if you just watched the heck out of that video!! And KUDOS to Karla and Mike for their gift. What a great community of people we belong to!!!

I clearly remember spending every spare minute looking at Little Squirt's pictures from trip 1. As to the video clips, thank goodness they don't wear out!!! ;)
