Based on a technicality, UPS is still the official winner of the Paper Baby Race to Cali.
However, I would like to give a strong honorable mention to my friends at DHL, because they delivered Paper Baby #2 only 1 hour later than UPS delivered Paper Baby #1. DHL deserves a shout-out for this because UPS had a full 24 hours longer to chauffeur Paper Baby #1 across the country.
In conclusion, UPS --- you are still the winner. Tip for next time? Bring your A-game, UPS! DHL put in a strong showing!

Betsy! Thanks for all the great updates, not only is a great to hear how your adoption is going so I can constantly pray for the right things but (in nothing less than expected Betsy fashion) it is hilarious too.
